Clearing Clerk – Permanent – Full Time

Niverville Credit Union, with branches in Niverville, Steinbach and Landmark serves over 9,000 members and has over $400 million in assets under administration. We have a staff compliment of over 40 employees spread over 3 Branches. The position is full-time hours, located out of the Niverville Branch.  Ideally the candidate would start on April 14, 2025 or sooner.

The Position:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Member Services, the Clearing Clerk role is part of the centralized administration team.  The Clearing Clerk is responsible for various functions and duties related to back-office processing and document administration for payments and clearing functions as well as providing support to other departments.  The Clearing Clerk has a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with a drive to deliver outstanding service to internal teams as they support Member transactions. The Clearing Clerk is required to participate in compliance training applicable to the position and ensure that all tasks performed comply with Niverville Credit Union policies and procedures.  This position is 76 hours bi-weekly located in Niverville, Manitoba.

The role entails:

  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, DNA
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, adapt to change, and work in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and investigative skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Team player

 Qualifications and experience that would be an asset, but not a requirement as we will train the right candidate:

  • 1 year of job-related experience with High School diploma
  • Previous banking experience and working with the public is preferred
  • Working understanding of Credit Union services, philosophies and principles
